I bought this as a ridiculously extravagant birthday present for my husband's birthday and instantly unlocked best wife ever status!
He had it set up and lit by 8:30am and I was sent to the shops to get sausages and bacon for an outsidey breakfast. Since his birthday breakfast we've cooked another two meals on it and I'm thinking that the next extravagant present might need to be a small patch of woodland to provide all the wood we are burning through!
The after sales service and arranging delivery was exemplary. Friendly, efficient and personable. The product is exceptionally well made, easy to put together, looks amazing on the patio and is amazingly efficient; much less smoky than a traditional fire pit, burns for ages and down to nothing.

Super solidly built - it is built so well it may just become a family heirloom! Super safe - keeps your hands (and other body parts) out of the line of your hatchet swing. This year we are burning Oregon White Oak and Madrone two varieties that can be tough to chop but this has made the chore both easy and safe. I recommend getting a 4lb sledge if you are chopping difficult to chop wood but for fir or pine you could probably just use the back end of your hatchet.
This is an amazing splitter, fun too, I was excited to see how quick & easy it was to use, especially for a female. I chose the XL version for bigger logs; it works great for smaller branches as well. Durable metal and easily posted down on a tree stump, definitely worth the money.
I use it daily. Definitely get the hammer that they advertise can go with it. Works wonderfully. Not all sizes of wood fit in it but smaller pieces can be broken down well
This is the safest and fastest way to split kindling. You can split the pieces very small and precise. I have not tried splitting big pieces, I would highly recommend this. Also if your'e just splitting kindling you do not need anchor bolts.
Bought as a birthday present for my other half. He loves it. Unfortunately, it is so effective and such fun to use that we now have more kindling than logs. On the other hand, it's all reduced to the right size for the Solo Ranger and the pizza oven meaning we get to use them more often. Win Win!!

I have both the 61/2" and the 9" splitter the trouble I had with the 61/2" splitter was that when you split a piece of firewood that just barely fit the two pieces would get jammed in it. With the 9" splitter even firewood that is a close fit the pieces don't jam.
I reduced four logs into a weeks worth of kindling in ten minutes. This makes it so easy to get kindling with almost no effort.
Very sturdy and good quality. Good at making little sticks for really good fire stuff!
Looks good, took about a second to assemble, and makes humping logs remarkably easy. Also holds far more logs than you'd imagine.

Fantastic device and a big safety improvement over trying to hold or balance pieces on a stump. I can control the size of the smaller pieces pretty well.
I love this product. I got it for my husband for Christmas but I use it a lot too. It is much easier than just using just an axe and hammer to split kindling. You can get a lot of kindling split in a short amount of time.

My husband splits a lot of wood for our wood stove. This is easy to use, functions as it claims. It’s sharp & is made with quality. The only negative comment is that the log has to be a certain size to fit. My husband will make accommodations to use the tool.
It is a great product and works as advertised. I would recommend the product.
If you are looking at reviews just get it. Does not come with anything to bolt to a structure but you don't even need that. I use a 4lb hammer form HD and can split wood in seconds efficiently.
